WordPress Tutorial: How to Set a Featured Image for a Post or Page

By | February 8, 2020

Hi and welcome to WordPress.com. This video will show you how to set a
featured image on a post or a page. Posts and pages can have a single
featured image assigned to them. Many themes will use a featured image
to enhance the site’s design. To assign a featured image to a post,
click on My Sites and Add a new post. In the editor under categories and tags,
you’ll see Featured Image. Click on Set featured image to see
the uploading screen. You can choose an image already in your
media library, or upload a new one. Next, click the button Set Featured Image
at the bottom right. Your image is now set. Publish your post or page, and voilà! Different themes can use featured images
in different ways. For example, here the images from
the most recent posts are being displayed on the front page. This page is using a featured image
as a page header, while here, the theme is using the featured
image set on the page chosen as the static front page. For more tips and tricks,
