Are you having trouble getting your artist
website ranked on Google? The reason might be because you don’t have
enough content on your site Most often what I see with artist websites is that they tend
to sacrifice Search Engine Optimization for the aesthetic of the website. What often happens is you will produce a beautiful
looking website with beautiful images that are large file sizes, and very little text
on the homepage of your website. That is actually hurting your SEO efforts. There are certain things you need to do to
your website in order to rank highly on the first page of Google. One of those things is to have a lot of content
on your site. I am not talking paragraphs upon paragraphs
of text. You can easily get away with adding a couple
of paragraphs of text on the website. That includes the keywords that people might
be searching for to find your artwork or photography. The rest of your website should have a lot
of content. You should describe your process, you should
talk about your actual artwork in a way that uses the keywords people search for to find
your artwork. All of these things you should take into consideration
when you are editing and optimizing for your artist portfolio.
