Sadhguru's words are wise. But I must point out that Sadhguru's interpretation of Descartes' quote "I think, therefore I am" is incorrect. Descartes was not talking about the importance of intelligence or thinking like Sadhguru interpreted, instead it was a result of a thought experiment he performed (based on the school of skepticism) which suggested that the utmost proof that he exists is that he can doubt his own existence by thinking.

I think at 26:51 when Sadhguru mentioned clearing out ideas and thoughts and experiences. Think he's talking about Identity for after he mentioned about boundaries and dog reference. That old identity shouldn't affect new situations. When Johnathan took it, he's talking that we could recall old Memory for the Intellect to function in new situations for better outcome. So i guess the challenge question is not direct?

Sadghuru Jaggi Vasudev. A man who has borrowed ideas from Osho and the Upanishads. The knowledge he is sharing is universal, yet not very well-known in the modern world, especially outside India. He gave no credit to these two sources. Why? I am just curious, not being judgmental. He gave credit to Shiva. But not other sources. Before believing and listening to what someone commented as " hypnotizing" words of his, check your sources. If truly seeking for inner change and exploration, do not blindly follow. Check what he is doing with taking land illegally from the disadvantaged tribals of Coimbatore hills where the Isha Center is built. With much love, open for any comments/discussions.

There is one word which can, and will always answer every deep philosophical question regarding how, when, why and what. BALANCE.
It is the most profound understanding of everything that can exist in our perception of existence itself. There will never and has never been a time when there was only joy and no suffering in the universe. For this reason it is practical to apply balance to every aspect of our existence. We must accept that we have negativity in us and around us just as we can appreciate positivity in and around us. We must accept that we don't know a lot about what is in and around us just like we can be grateful for what we do know about what is in and around us. We must accept that we die just like we must be grateful for being alive. We must accept that there is war just like we must be grateful for peace. For those reading this who think that it is possible to live life on earth and have no war, it's unrealistic. This does not mean we must buy guns and provoke others in order to start wars. This means we must learn from what cause the wars in order to try to change that about ourselves and attempt a peaceful future, however the fact is, the minute this peace is theoretically achieved, it will not be long until another war begins over some other issue or need, or greed, or survival tactic. The truth of the matter is, we are here to suffer. There are no two ways about it. However we are also here to experience joy and love. Regardless of any religion or belief, this will be the primary fact about humans in existence. BALANCE. And why? well that's easy. There cannot be one thing without another thing to differentiate between those two things..or else the one thing could not exist at all as it would not know what it is and neither would we. So if you want to exist in the universe, you have to accept the bad with the good, the war with the peace, the struggle with the joy, the work with the rest, the death with the life. There is a saying that explains BALANCE very well, and also how to live life. "Life is not about avoiding the storm, it is about learning to dance in the rain".
What is important to understand, with regard to trying to make the world a better place and wondering how it can be done, it can only be done by making you yourself a better person. The man interviewing in this video seems clueless as to how "we" can become better in this world and less destructive…but fails to understand that it can only be done by each of us individually, and if done on a massive scale then yes the world will be a better place, but this journey of self improvement is a different path for every human. Yes, the destination is "peace" and happiness, however the paths we walk will always be vastly different, so it is up to us to better ourselves as people without "looking up to the next man or looking down on the next man" in the process. Just focus on you. If we all do this, there will be more peace and love and joy, but again..it is important to understand that there will always be inner conflicts, temptations of material things, and negativity..this is simply the way of the universe. Similar to the ones and zeros of computer language that in different codes and patterns formulates entire programmes, it is all simply based on a configuration of ones and zeros. Same with human, just positives and negatives. BALANCE. Learn to dance in the rain instead of trying to avoid the storm. We will never defeat the weather.

Oooh guys i just get it, after watching so many of his videos : the greatest thing about him is not his ability to make us understand so many things with so much clarity. Actually his real power is to make our willing to experience life stronger than our willing to understand life. This just happened to me, writing this comment. Until now, understanding was enough and i felt blessed for it. Only at that moment i realized that without experiencing i can't understand anything. So fundementally i was looking for the consequence, not the action. And probably if i experience life, understanding it becomes useless.

GIANT ADVICE TO HELP SPREAD MESSAGE: You could put instructions in a marked fix commentary as first one on top of list, and the same in the description of the video, to people of every other country, to put the option in the menu, to translate the already available engilish subtitles (in almost every video of yours) to ANY OTHER language automatically (it will not be a perfect translate in some cases, but its very useful), Youtube Video allows that in the video-window options, in the GEAR ICON, it could increase a lot the spread of his beautiful words.
