Keyword research training: Determining traffic potential – Google Trends

By | January 20, 2020

In this screen cast we are going to explore
how to use Google Trends to measure the frequency
of your keywords. First of all let’s take a quick look
at Google Trends as a whole to get an idea of how the tool works. Once you visit trends.Google.com
you see a search bar at the top of the page. This is where you can enter your queries. You can enter up to five different queries
at the same time to compare their search volumes. So let’s start by entering the head keywords
we came up with earlier. “Solar panel”, “Insulate home”, and “Saving energy”. Just put commas in between the terms
to separate them. What we see then is a graph
of the search interest over time. Which is color-coded, so you can see that
“solar panel” at the top has a blue circle and the graph also shows the blue line. And “insulate home” has a red circle
and has the red line etc.

Google Trends is indeed a great way to research Keywords. Along with the Google Keyword Planner it must be the two most frequently used tools by many SEO experts. With no exclusion to Yoast SEO Premium. Love your plugin, by far the best SEO Plugin on Earth! In fact, I have learned a lot about SEO with Yoast.

I for one am with Yoast SEO to stay, in my opinion nothing else even comes close. There is also Hoth, who offer great suggestions for keywords and conte t in general. Thanks again for the info, keep up the great work guys. Yoast SEO Premium rocks!

Thanks for the great information. Obviously, Google trends are the best tool for keyword research. My question is, How you identify Mid Tail KWs and Long Tail KWs for your niche? I'm new with Keyword searching techniques.
