Introducing HubSpot’s New #PETprogram

By | November 7, 2019

So the phone rings and it’s Mark Cuben again and I say
“Look pal, I don’t have your golf clubs… they are not my helicopter. I don’t know where they…” [trails off] Oh. Hello. Here at HubSpot, we love our dogs. After all, big data shows that
people are happier and more productive when they have canine colleagues. In fact, in the
last quarter alone, we saw a 278% increase in employee satisfaction for those working within a 10-foot radius of HubSpot dog. Those are results you can taste. In a recent extremely comprehensive study, we
found that this is true not only for dogs, but for pets of any kind. They increase
employee productivity. So we’ve taken these insights and we’ve created a new employee benefit Something that we would like to call the PET or P.E.T program. PET stands for
“productive employee things” and we believe that these positive beacons of
joy will take office morale to unforeseen levels not yet even foreseen
before! Andrew! You’re doing a great job. Not you! The chicken! Yes, in addition to popular perks such as
unlimited vacation, a flexible workplace, and mandatory cheese Wednesday’s, HubSpotters can now bring any animal or pet
to work. If you don’t have a pet, don’t worry. We have you covered. It’s good to take a break every now and then. In all of our offices around the globe,
our employees are already taking advantage of this great pet perk. Because Siobhan, the last time you drove
we were 45 minutes late! Here at HubSpot, if you have a parakeet or a pygmy shrew, you can bring them in. Koala or chinchilla or chicken? We’ve got room. Do you have an anaconda? Sure! We love good
hugs. At HubSpot, we care about the well-being of our employees, it’s what makes us, us.
So if HubSpot sounds like somewhere where you or your pet would like to work,
good news! We’re hiring!

What a stupid idea. Who wants 20 dogs barking while you're trying to get work done?
