How To Translate a WebPage Using Chrome In Android

Hello all, welcome to Tech Mirages and I am b ack again with another awesome video. In this video, Ii will show you how to translate a webpage to different languages using Curome in Android. But make sure that, you have installed latest version of Chrome 75 installed in your Android mobile. So, to check that, just open Google Chrome, tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right and select the option called “Settings”. Scroll down and tap on “About Chrome”. You could see Chrome version 75 is shwon under “Application Version”. Top translate a webpage in Chrome Android you need to have Chrome 75 installed in your Android. Else, update it to latest version of Chrome from Play Store. Once Chrome 75 was installed in your Android, let us see how to translate a webpage to different languages using Chrome in Android. But before going forward, please do subscribe to my channel for latest videos. As the stage has been set, let us get started. Let us say, I have this Wikipedia page to be translated to different languages. Right now this is ion English, which is my default language in Chrome. Now to translate this webpage to other languages, tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right and
tap on “Translate”. You could see that it has shown English as well as different language, French at the bottom of the screen. Tap on “French” and it translates webpage in to “French” language. If you want to translate it to other languages, tap on 3 vertical dots at the bottom. You could find something called, “More Languages”. Tap on it. It shows a lot of languages, almost all world languages are shown here. Let me say, I want to translate the webpage to Russian and I will tap on Russian language. This webpage has been translated to Russian in Chrome. Tap on 3 vertical dots again to see more options available. You could see 4 options are being shown, but let us look at top 3 options. First option says that “Always Translate pages in English”. Once this option is chosen, only English webpages are translated to other languages. So, it does not translate other language webpages, but only does English webpages. Second option “Never Translate Pages in English”. If you do not want any English webpages to be translated, then you can choose this option. Third option called “Never Translate this Site”. If you do not want particular site or webpages from that particular site to be translated to other languages, then you can choose this option. Apart from translating a webpage to other langauges, you can even translate particular selected word in to another language. Tap on hold on the word you want to translate and it shows few options along with 3 vertical dots. Tap on that and you could find an option called “Translator” and tap on it. You could see that it opens a popup. It shows two options with “from” and “To” languages. “From” is the default language set in your Chrome. in “To” field, select the language you want the word to be translated. Let me choose Russian here as well and you could see the translated word. Particular selected word can also be translated to other languages. Below, it shows 3 options. You can pin the word. Other option is to learn how to pronuounce the translated word using speaker icon. Tap on the speaker word and it pronounces the word outside. You can see how that particular word is translated and pronounced. You can copy that translated text, by tapping the copy option to paste it wherever you want.
