[Intro Music] [Intro Music] Hi, I’m Hani Mourra from EasyOnlineVideoTips.com
I’m just driving into the office I thought I’d share a story with you on my way you see, a couple of days ago, I was checking my Google analytics just checking my sites and stats just to see where is the most of my traffic coming from and I was pleasantly surprised.
I noticed that my No.1 source of traffic was Google as expected. No.2, was direct traffic people typing in my website directly, my blog directly No.3, was YouTube! Now I was happy to see that and I start thinking to myself what have I been doing you know, why is Google oh, why is YouTube No.3? So, I started thinking back for the past few months and I just want to share a few tips with you just to give you an idea about the small things that would help YouTube drive traffic back to your blog or website. The first thing I thought was, well, I’ve been adding a lot of friends lately, and I’m having a lot of friends add me. So, a lot of people may not know but YouTube is a social media site. people don’t look at it that way, but it really is a social site. you get to add friends you get to join and subscribe people’s channels send messages, etc. So, I’ve been adding a few friends I’ve had a few friends add me. And I’ve noticed for maybe the past four, five months maybe, I’ve been getting a lot of people adding me as friend so they get to find me on my website my blog, and they add me they watched the video, and they also add me as a friend after watching the video, so… yeah, it’s important to know that, when you add friends people will most likely add you back so, there’s some kind of activity going on and YouTube really likes that. YouTube likes to know that you’re social, you’re active in the YouTube community. So, that’s No.1. Add friends. No.2, Comment a lot. I’ve been seeing comments on my videos a lot lately and I’ve been replying to them, so it’s important that you leave comments on people’s videos, valuable comments Sometimes, you can say, “Great Video!” but sometimes, leaving a comment on a particulare video, give some insight, give some feedback, so it’s important to leave comments, and it’s important to answer comments if you’re a video owner. To my videos, I always answer every single comment that’s left on my site. on my YouTube videos. so that’s 2. Commenting. Leaving comments, replying to comments. Three, is Add a link on your blog to encourage people to subscribe to your videos, so as more people subscribe to your YouTube videos, or YouTube channel, as they call it just like your YouTube homepage the more traffic your site will get not more traffic, more activity is involved around your site, the more points you get from YouTube, when people are searching for videos so, encourage the people to subscribe if you notice, I have a little button on the right hand side of my blog saying Connect with me on YouTube. If they click on that, they automatically subscribed to my YouTube videos. So, encourage people to subscribe to your videos. And, the fourth thing I’ve been doing I’ve been doing for a while is… embedding my YouTube videos on my blog Now, to some of you, that seems very obvious, but a lot of people just rely on having YouTube videos and expect people to just find these videos on YouTube and maybe, if you’re promoting a product or something, they’re gonna expect people to go ahead and buy from there that’s not gonna happen. you need to have the relationship with somebody with your viewer before any kind of transaction gonna happen. so you want to make sure that your videos are embedded on a blog especially a blog. a blog is more personal, more, you can connect more with a blog and just make sure that they have, the videos are embedded so that they get to see your blog and the more important factor here sorry, I rumbled on for a minute more important being, is from your YouTube video, in the description of the video, I’ve mentioned this before in a few blog posts, make sure that your URL to your blog is the first line in your description, and of course don’t forget to include the http:// so the linke is actually clickable so people can watch your video, click on the first the active link on your YouTube description and go to your blog or More About You and hopefully signup for your newsletter and the relationship builds from there so, those are my tips, I was just thinking back reflecting on you know why is my YouTube traffic has gone up in the past 4-5 months and those are the main points that came to mind so, i hope you enjoyed this video and i hope you get out there, make YouTube videos make lots of friends in YouTube, it’s a social media site. and make sure you have links back to your blog and embed these videos to your blog so people can get to know you a lot better, I’m Hani Mourra from EasyOnlineVideoTips.com looking forward to talking to you soon.
